Let’s talk about the history of the Rottweiler. In Germany, they were known as Rottweiler Metzgerhund, meaning Rottweiler butchers’ dogs. Their main use was to herd livestock and pull carts with butchered meats to market. On the way home, they worked to protect the money and the meat.
